About Play This At My Funeral

Play This At My Funeral is a deeply fun, slightly macabre, always heartwarming show about the songs that shape our lives — and the ones we’d play at our funerals. Each episode invites a guest to curate the playlist for their own (hypothetical) send-off and share the stories that made those songs matter. In each episode, host Dinah invites a guest on to talk through the soundtrack of their life: the songs that have held them in moments of anguish, haunted them on the regular, and maybe just maybe even saved them.

She knows how to light up a room and ensure that those who interact with her (in big or small spaces) feel seen. Spending most of her singing career performing with a cover-band based in Brooklyn, NY, she’s made the pivot into recording and releasing her own original singles [https://linktr.ee/Mellmuseic]- and is set to release her debut album “Lovebomb Therapy” this spring. This concept album combines skits with songs - to invite listeners to join her in her therapist’s office as she processes a Lovebomb dating experience, self-reflection as a human and ultimately leaves listeners questioning: “Who lovebombed whom?” WIth 10 years of experience in the HRBP and L&D space, she’ll leverage the skills she’s honed in her career to craft experiences for her “Lovies” to safely practice and polish key emotional intelligence skills. Her goal is to help humans bond again (don’t we miss that?) - providing music and entertaining think-pieces as the ice-breaker to rebuilding the art of conversation and true connection. In all honesty, she doesn’t know how far any of this will go - but she’s committed to the mission, the journey and enjoying the ride! @mellmuse.ic [http://mellmuse.ic/] (IG/TikTok) Melanie Lewis [https://www.linkedin.com/in/melanie-lewis-hrbusinesspartner/] (LinkedIn) Yam & Cassava [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gw4IT4kp8uA&list=RDgw4IT4kp8uA&start_radio=1]music video 🌹 About Play This At My Funeral Play This At My Funeral is a deeply fun, slightly macabre, always heartwarming podcast about the songs that shape our lives — including the ones we’d play at our funerals.
