About POINTING TO THE SAVIOUR OF THE WORLD

POINTING TO THE SAVIOUR OF THE WORLD is a podcast which provides food for the soul. It provides weekly spiritual nourishment. It's contents includes a combination of scripture readings at Mass, daily office psalms, reflection from readings, meditation and prayers of the faithful from various sources with help of some angelic music in the background. Due to the demands of modern life, Christians and Catholics in particular often complain that they are unable to find time to attend mass or pray the daily office. Listening to this podcast not only softens the blow but also provides you with a great tool to help you pray and develop that beautiful relationship with God. This podcast helps to bring home the message that we are loved unconditionally by God the Father, Jesus our brother and God the Holy Spirit of truth as members of God's family. Therefore, it's our duty to share this good news with all in the way we live our lives - in love, mercy, kindness, compassion and forgiveness as our God Father, son and Holy Spirit are with us. POINTING TO THE SAVIOUR OF THE WORLD with Patrick Tifu is an easy, meditative, reflective & prayerful listen that you wouldn't want to start your day without. Rest assured you will enjoy it. Stay safe and God bless.

PENTECOST SUNDAY YEAR A (2026)

Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/224168/fan_mail/new] This Sunday we celebrate the Solemnity of Pentecost - the day nearly 2000 years ago, when Jesus fulfilled His promise and sent the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, to the Apostles Our lady and all the other disciples to assist them continue His mission here on earth - His mission to save souls.  The beautiful thing is that the Holy Spirit has not stopped working. The Spirit still brings peace where there is fear, unity where there is division, courage where there is weakness, and hope where we feel discouraged. The Holy Spirit continues to work in our hearts and lives today. It is the Holy Spirit who can unleash the dormant gifts within each and everyone of us. If we let Him, that Spirit can make us better spouses, better parents, better children better religious, clergy or single people. He can guide us into the vocation, work, or occupation that best suits us. He can inspire our ideas and creativity -- He can enhance our  relationship with God and one another.  So perhaps our prayer this Pentecost is a simple one: Holy Spirit, come again. Open what we have locked. Strengthen what feels weak. Heal what is divided. Help us use the gifts You have given us, and help us not just to believe in Christ, but to live like people who have truly received His Spirit. And so we say: ALL: Come Holy spirt, fill the hearts of your faithful and kindle in them the fire of your love. Send forth your Spirit and they shall be created. And You shall renew the face of the earth. O, God, who by the light of the Holy Spirit, did instruct the hearts of the faithful, grant that by the same Holy Spirit we may be truly wise and ever rejoice in His consolation, Through the same Christ Our Lord, Amen. WE ARE PILGRIMS: 7TH SUNDAY OF EASTER 2026

Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/224168/fan_mail/new] On this Sunday we celebrate what we are here on earth - pilgrims. This Sunday the readings remind us that our true home is not in this life - a reminder that this life is a journey - a pilgrimage to our final destination- our homeland in Heaven.  In the 1st reading the Apostles after witnessing the Ascension of Jesus, made the journey from the mountain to Jerusalem. In the 2nd reading we are reminded that this pilgrimage to heaven is not an easy one but one full of spiritual dangers and suffering. And in the gospel Jesus assures us that we are not alone in this journey- Not only does He provide food for this journey - the Holy Eucharist He is says He is praying for us. He will also send us the Holy Spirit to guide and strengthen us along the way. On the week before Pentecost, let us pray for the grace to be docile to the Holy Spirit so that we can hurry the way to our true home in heaven.
