Nate Sparks is a former Boise State quarterback (1997-98) and Debbie (Thompson) Sparks is a former Big West gymnastics champion for the Broncos - they eventually married and raised a family in Meridian. Son Tyus is the first Treasure Valley athlete selected in the NHL Draft (last weekend, fourth round, Washington Capitals) and daughter Kiari is a senior at Mountain View High and a five-star recruit who has committed to LSU for the Class of 2027.
