Dr. Michael Guido, Your baby is like a clean slate. You may write upon his heart whatever you desire. He is like a dry sponge ready to absorb all the moral moisture in your home. He is like a blank sheet of white paper waiting for the pen of your heart and hand. That sheet will take whatever is written upon it.
Deuteronomy 6:4-7
1. When rising up – Start your day with praise (music, greetings, breakfast together, bible verses, singing, prayer)
2. When lying down – End your day with thanksgiving and short talks (bedtime stories, prayers, music, books.)
3. When you’re walking along the way – Look for teaching moments during the day when unexpected things happen.
4. Sitting at home – Plan family time, discussions, activities, and bible study.
Psalm 127:3-4
Proverbs 22:6
D.L. Moody, “There is no gauge to God’s promises. You may pray for weeks, months, or years; you may go down to your grave, and your prayers may not all be answered, but perhaps around your coffin that wayward boy may be converted. We are instructed to pray and never cease … if we get discouraged and quit we are disobeying God, and we are not doing what the Lord would like for us to do.”
