episode “Boots in a Dryer & Friday Night Dreams: Live from Piedmont” artwork

“Boots in a Dryer & Friday Night Dreams: Live from Piedmont”

This week on Pryor to the Snap, we take the show on the road to Piedmont High School’s football field in Piedmont, Oklahoma—and what we witnessed was something special. Czar Athletics hosted an incredible football combine that brought athletes in from all over, each one chasing the same dream under those Friday night lights. The energy was undeniable—not just from the kids competing, but from the parents on the sidelines, fully invested and quietly acknowledging just how powerful this moment was for their families. We sat down with Chad, President of the Piedmont Football Booster Club, for a real conversation about what makes Piedmont unique. From the perception vs. reality of a “small town” competing at the 6A level, to the critical role booster clubs play in building programs, to how YOU can support small-town football in Oklahoma—this one’s packed with insight. And yes… Shaun walked away with some Piedmont football gear he’ll be repping proudly. We also crossed paths with a standout wide receiver from a local college—keep an eye out, because he’ll be joining us on a future episode. ⚠️ Listener Warning (and a good laugh): Kassie pulls a fast one in this episode, playing a secretly recorded clip of Shaun’s very real reaction to trying Panda Express’ “Dynamite Sweet & Sour Chicken.” Let’s just say… he thought it was regular chicken. It was not. What followed was a spicy disaster, a profanity-laced meltdown, and a stomach that sounded like “boots in a dryer.” We tried to edit it out… we failed. It’s hilarious—but consider yourself warned. Things don’t cool down from there. Shaun and Kassie get into a HEATED debate right there on the field—so intense that Kassie literally starts whispering to avoid being chased down by nearby OU fans. She questions both John Mateer and Brent Venables and boldly claims the Big Ten is superior to the SEC in college football. Yeah… she said it. Who’s right? You decide. From elite athletes and community pride to spicy chicken chaos and college football debates, this episode has a little bit of everything. Special thanks to Piedmont Public Schools and Czar Athletics for having us out. If you’re serious about taking your athlete to the next level, go check out Czar Athletics in Piedmont, Oklahoma. 🎧 Tap in now—this one’s wild.

Run It Back: Victoria Harris, Audi Crooks, Body Image in Sports & OU Draft Talk | Pryor to the Snap

This episode of Pryor to the Snap is PACKED from start to finish—and it all starts with a comeback story. After last week’s frustrating technical issues wiped out an incredible interview, we brought her BACK—Victoria Harris, starting center for OKC Rec League squad “Run It Back” and All-City Women’s All-Star Game standout, joins the show and does NOT disappoint. She dives into her basketball journey, where she played college ball, the coaches who shaped her, and her perspective on the evolving trends in the women’s game. And she didn’t just stop by—Victoria stayed with us for the entire episode, becoming part of the conversation. We then shift into a powerful and real discussion حول rising star Audi Crooks and the excitement surrounding her arrival at Oklahoma State—along with the harsh criticism and social media vitriol she’s faced. Shaun opens up a deeper conversation about body dysmorphia, body positivity, and whether today’s social media-driven standards are just a repackaged version of the unrealistic expectations pushed on women in the late 80s and early 90s. Victoria and Kassie bring thoughtful, unfiltered insight you won’t want to miss. Joe Corley jumps in with Oklahoma Sooners football talk, breaking down draft class outcomes and where players landed—plus his growing “rivalry” with Jayden Ott after the running back signs with the Kansas City Chiefs as an undrafted free agent. And because it’s Pryor to the Snap, things take a turn you didn’t see coming—we get into wild conversations about fish behavior influenced by human activity, plus food talk featuring Tastykakes, crab cakes, Maine lobster, and more. From basketball to football, culture to food—this episode has EVERYTHING. 🔥 If you’re searching for: OKC women’s basketball, Audi Crooks Oklahoma State, women’s sports culture, body image in athletics, Oklahoma Sooners NFL Draft, Jayden Ott Chiefs, or just real, unfiltered sports talk—this is the episode for you. 🎧 Tap in, subscribe, and join the conversation.
