Truth Offends | Restoring Warriors Daily Devotional | Matthew 26:65

Why does the truth of Jesus often feel offensive to our modern world? In today’s devotional, we explore the encounter between Caiaphas and Jesus in Matthew 26:65 to understand why truth can be difficult to accept and how we can cultivate a heart that is submissive to God's Word. In this video: The Reality of Offense: Why Caiaphas rejected Jesus and how that mirrors today's resistance to the Gospel. Truth vs. Culture: Why exclusive claims of Scripture are often labeled intolerant, and why the truth doesn't change just because it's unpopular. The Test of Discipleship: Moving beyond only agreeing with the parts of the Bible we like to truly submitting to the parts that challenge us. Reflection & Challenge: "What truth from God’s Word am I tempted to resist because it challenges the way I want to live?" Ridiculed for Righteousness | Restoring Warriors Daily Devotional | Matthew 26:67-68

Have you ever felt like you’re doing the right thing, only to be met with criticism, rejection, or misunderstanding? In this video, we dive into Matthew 26:67-68. When Jesus was mocked and beaten, it wasn't because He had done wrong—it was because He was perfectly obedient to the Father. The world is comfortable with a watered-down faith, but when a man begins to pursue holiness, protect his marriage, and speak the truth, he often finds himself in the crosshairs of opposition. Don’t mistake resistance for failure. Often, the criticism you receive is confirmation that you are walking a different path than the world. In this video: * Why obedience to God often invites opposition. * Understanding that a warrior’s job isn't to seek approval—it's to remain faithful. * How to find your identity in Christ rather than the opinions of others. Daily Challenge: Identify one area of your life where you have been shrinking back due to the fear of others' opinions. Today, choose obedience over approval. Reflection: Where have you been tempted to compromise your convictions to fit in? Let us know in the comments.

episode The King Behind the Trial | Restoring Warriors Daily Devotional | Matthew 26:64 artwork

The King Behind the Trial | Restoring Warriors Daily Devotional | Matthew 26:64

“You have said so,” Jesus replied. “But I say to all of you: From now on you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven.” — Matthew 26:64 If you walked into the courtroom that night, you would have thought Jesus had lost. He was arrested, falsely accused, abandoned by His disciples, and standing before the most powerful religious leaders in Israel. Caiaphas and the Sanhedrin believed they were in control. They believed they were judging Jesus. But appearances can be deceiving. In the middle of His trial, Jesus makes a stunning declaration: one day they will see Him sitting at the right hand of God and coming on the clouds of heaven. The One standing before them in chains was actually the King of Kings. The One being judged was the ultimate Judge. The One who appeared powerless possessed all authority in heaven and on earth. How often do we make the same mistake? We look at our circumstances and assume God has lost control. A marriage struggles. Finances tighten. A prayer goes unanswered. A door closes. We begin to think God is absent because we can’t see what He’s doing. But God has never been limited by what is visible. The cross looked like defeat. The tomb looked like defeat. The trial looked like defeat. Yet every one of those moments was part of God’s greater victory. As men, we must learn to trust God’s sovereignty even when life doesn’t make sense. Just because God appears silent doesn’t mean He isn’t working. Just because the battle looks lost doesn’t mean the King has surrendered His throne. The King is still reigning—even when the courtroom says otherwise. Reflection Question Where in your life are you allowing your circumstances to convince you that God is not in control? Daily Challenge Identify one area of your life that feels uncertain and spend five minutes in prayer surrendering it to God. Refuse to let your circumstances determine your view of His faithfulness. Prayer Father, help me trust You when I cannot see what You’re doing. Remind me that You are always on the throne, even when life feels chaotic or uncertain. Strengthen my faith to believe that You are working all things together for Your glory and my good. In Jesus’ name, amen. 🔥 Want more daily encouragement?
