How have we come to expect that there is something or someone will one day discover us? It is when we realize that we have the power to heal that we realize that we can be made whole. Episode 755: How are You Known, and by Whom?

In Ephesians 1:15, Paul writes that he has heard of the believers’ faith in the Lord Jesus and their love toward all. He heard about it, not because they announced it, not because they advertised it, not because they created a public image, but because their lives bore witness to something unmistakable. Their faith and their love were so alive, so embodied, so real that word traveled. Their lives spoke for them. And so the question arises again: how are we known? It is not by the faith we profess with our lips, but by the faith we embody in our lives. It is not by the love we claim to hold, but by the love others experience when they encounter us.
