About RiceNest

What's the most common thing that Asian communities have in common? Rice! This is a podcast show where everyone is welcome, almost like a big nest perhaps. This combines our name RiceNest, where we discuss many topics in the Asian community regardless of whether you're from a different region and background. We love to encompass everyone's ideas, history, experiences, opinions, and culture! By the way, you don't have to be of Asian descent to listen to our podcasts since this is a learning experience for everybody interested in Asian culture and topics!

In this episode, we'll discuss experiences in the Filipino & Asian community in terms of career-path choices & my take in deciding what I wanted to do. This topic gets somewhat personal since I've referenced some of my past experiences growing up with what I've wanted to do, and how traditional beliefs could be barriers for some individuals when deciding their career choices.
