We like to make things harder than they are. That way if we do actually try and aren't great right away, we have the built in excuse. Instead, just be curious and enjoy the process of learning.

Food, water, and shelter...

Basic needs to stay alive are food, water and shelter. You can cut out all the other entertainment stuff and still be fine. But then you would "feel" like you're behind. You see your feelings get in the way more than they help...

Just tell the truth

And the truth shall set you free! Am uncomfortable reality is way easier to handle than a nice lie in the end. The thing still exists and the longer you delay, the harder it gets to deal with.

Make them not want to fight...

Make yourself unshakable by being strong physically, mentally, and spiritually. That sets you apart and makes your enemies think twice about coming after you. When they can't rattle you, they move on.

Change your feelings, not the facts

The facts don't need to match your feelings. And if they don't match, update your feelings, not the facts.
