Welcome back to week two of our series on spiritual gifts! Last week, we laid the foundation with a truth we cannot afford to forget: Spiritual gifts were never given to make us important; they were given to make Jesus visible. This week, we are going deeper and getting into the gifts that communicate truth, reveal God’s heart, and strengthen our faith, what we’re calling the gifts that speak. Let's be honest: this is where a lot of church spaces get uncomfortable. Between prophecy, tongues, wisdom, and miracles, many of us were either taught to fear these expressions or taught to chase them for the wrong reasons. But in 1 Corinthians 12, Paul brings us right back to the center. In this episode, we unpack: The breakdown of wisdom, knowledge, faith, healing, miracles, prophecy, and tongues. The "Corinthian Problem" and why treating different gifts like different levels of spirituality ruins church unity. Why a spiritual gift operating without love is nothing more than empty noise. How God pours His Spirit out on the surrendered many, not just a gifted few.
