Danny Brigman is a member of the Spokane Tribe of Eastern Washington, and of the Tk'emlúps te Secwépemc band of British Columbia. Danny is also a board member of Renew Earth Running [https://www.renewearthrunning.org/who-we-are], an organization dedicated to promoting the knowledge of indigenous sovereignty over land that runners, and other recreationalists, utilize, and to provide a means of bringing to life that recognition. Danny organized the Kamloops 215 ultramarathon. This 215-mile run [http://www.tribaltribune.com/news/article_87707bf8-f236-11eb-b416-6bddeaad7cb8.html] honored and recognized the 215 children whose remains were found under the Kamloops Indian Residential Boarding school.
