Science Accelerated
Floating-point arithmetic, despite being only approximate, has been a mainstay of modern computing since the its inception; can it be replaced? SciSci Research CEO James Douglas Boyd describes SciSci's first original research report on the Hensel CPU, a novel computing architecture designed with the aspiration of providing accelerated computing with an alternative to floating-point by delivering an exact (p-adic) arithmetic capability at the hardware level. The report is made freely available by SciSci Press: https://www.sci-sci.org/hensel-cpu [https://www.sci-sci.org/hensel-cpu]
