About Seeds of Grace Reflections

Seeds of Grace Reflections is a place to wrestle with deep questions of theology, faith, and the mysteries of God’s Word. I’m not a scholar—but I am a student of Scripture, deeply in love with Jesus, and convinced He’s worth devoting my entire life to. This space was born out of a desire to linger longer in the truths that stir our hearts and challenge our minds—to ask the hard questions, search the Scriptures, and discover the beauty of what God reveals along the way. Here, we’ll explore the layers of theology that shape our faith: the nature of God, how to interpret Scripture faithfully, and we will seek His truth and wisdom together. My hope is not to have all the answers, but to grow together with others who desire to think deeply, love richly, and walk faithfully with Christ. If you want to dive into more practical applications of our faith, I encourage you to listen to another podcast I co-host called The Well with Brittney and Kate. There, we focus on the everyday walk of faith—how the truths we explore here shape our relationships, our habits, and our hope. While Seeds of Grace Reflections leans into theology, doctrine, and the “why” behind what we believe, The Well explores the “how”—how to live it out with authenticity, grace, and courage in a world that needs Jesus.

Holy Wrestling: Genocide, Judgment, and the Goodness of God

How can a good God allow — or even command — acts of judgment that seem to cost innocent lives? In this deeply honest and theologically rich episode of Seeds of Grace Reflections, we wrestle with one of the hardest questions in the Christian faith: the tension between God’s goodness and the violence found in Scripture. Rather than offering easy answers or tidy explanations, this conversation invites listeners to sit with the complexity. Together, we explore ancient warfare language, the nature of divine justice, the reality of systemic sin, and the spiritual dimension behind biblical conflict. We look closely at the stories of Canaan and Egypt, the death of the firstborn, the hardening of Pharaoh’s heart, and the question that haunts many believers — what about the children? Through it all, this episode returns again and again to the character of God as revealed in Scripture: slow to anger, abounding in steadfast love, and unwavering in justice. This is not an attempt to soften the weight of these passages, but to face them honestly — with theology as our guide and Christ as our anchor. If you’ve ever struggled with doubt, discomfort, or unanswered questions about God’s justice, this episode reminds you: faith is not weakened by wrestling — it is often strengthened there.

Is Christmas Pagan? Mini Episode

Have you ever heard someone say: “Christmas is a pagan holiday” or “Santa Claus is really a Norse god”—and wondered, is that actually true? Over the past few weeks, I’ve been asked these questions more than once. So I made a short video to dig into the history, theology, and traditions behind Christmas—beyond the myths and memes. In this episode, we explore: * Why December 25 was chosen for Jesus’ birth—and how early Christians calculated it centuries before it became a “holiday.” * The real story behind Christmas trees, lights, and gift-giving—and how these traditions point to Christ rather than pagan worship. * The history of Santa Claus, St. Nicholas, and even Krampus—and how Christian generosity inspired these figures long before commercial culture shaped them. If you’ve ever wondered: “Is it wrong to celebrate Christmas? Am I honoring Christ—or something else?” This conversation is for you. We separate fact from myth, look at the historical evidence, and uncover the Christian heart behind beloved traditions. You’ll see that lights, gifts, stockings, and yes—even Santa—can point our hearts to the greatest gift of all: Jesus Christ.
