What is the real meaning behind our love of the sun (and other potential vices)?

This is a quick exploration about what worshiping the Sun means to us. And I just mean this in the way that we sometimes love to get that golden glow, we love to bake for hours in the sun, for some of us it's just our thing. But as with anything else, there is a meaning behind it. We are meeting some sort of need that we have with our love of the Sun, or our love of caffeine, or our love of any other thing that sort of defines us. It's really cool to explore this, because maybe we can find better ways of meeting those needs without doing things that cause us harm.
