Black Male Shadow Work 2

It's important in your personal development journey to Dive deep into Shadow Work.  The SBL Crew is adamant about self-reflection and self-accountability.  We can't truly do this work without exploring, embracing, and loving our whole selves, which includes the darker parts of our personalities.  How can we truly love ourselves while simultaneously hating parts of who we are?  You wouldn't only love one side of a coin or a dollar bill.  It takes the whole to be valuable.  You are whole, complete, brilliant, and necessary to the betterment, improvement, and salvation of our society, and subsequently, this planet.  Below is an overview of an article on BetterHelp.com regarding Shadow Work.  We trust you'll find value in this episode.   Be Well, Skinny Black and the SBL Crew ... We all have traits that we’re proud of, and traits that we don’t feel so confident about. Some of these traits may trigger or embarrass us, so we hide them from public view. These parts make up your shadow self, and it longs to be heard.  However, it’s not always easy to come to terms with our shadow selves. Many people tend to repress those hidden parts of themselves to avoid having to confront that darker side. Even though the shadow still exists, it gets pushed back and forgotten. But repressing your inner shadow can have dangerous consequences. Most often, the shadow manifests as our triggers — emotional reactions that we haven’t fully dealt with, but bubble up to the surface under the right (wrong) circumstances.
