I've Been Wrong About Myself for Over a Decade

What happens when you stumble across a piece of your past that completely rewrites the story you've been telling yourself? Have you ever been so convinced you failed at something that you never stopped to check if that was actually true? That's exactly where I found myself this week. I dug up my old master's thesis, and what I found forced me to reckon with how wrong I've been about myself for over a decade.

Dealing with career journey disappointments

What do you do when you feel like you're fumbling your way through your career? We all experience disappointment in work, but it hits harder when you're taking initiative, planning a pivot, or just trying to grow, especially if you feel like you're getting mixed signals from those above you. If you're multi-passionate like me, you're probably sensitive to criticism and your own self-doubt or past experiences compound that negative self-talk. Today I talk about a recent disappointing experience at my work, how I'm overcoming it, how I'm using it to motivate me in my career pivot.
