Spiked Heaters: A Between Innings Podcast
This week on Spiked Heaters, Torr returns after his first multi-week break from recording and reflects on a stretch where it feels like everything is moving at once. From recruiting transfers, running camps, and supporting players through real-life struggles off the field, to trying to stay grounded while the summer wheel spins, this episode is about carrying a lot without losing your footing. Torr also shares some of the bright spots in the middle of the noise — JT Andoroski and John Rorick earning Rawlings Gold Gloves, the first Gold Glovers of his coaching career, Carson playing in his first 7U tournament and loving every second of it, and Paige competing at YMCA Nationals in Greensboro. It’s a reminder that even when life feels heavy, there is still a lot of good worth noticing. More than anything, this episode is about trying to stay steady in the middle of it all — building better systems, protecting clarity, leaning on family, and remembering that coaching does not pause when life gets busy, and life does not pause for coaching either.
