In our penultimate episode of season 2 we draw closer to Jesus completing his purpose. Here we see Peter, who was called the rock, deny that he even knows Jesus. Then we run into failures in leadership, the dangers of being caught in a mob mentality, the people unknowingly prophesying Jesus washing our sins with his blood, and the cruel mocking Jesus endures from both religious leaders and the soldiers. Spirit Katana Week 45

We near the end of Matthew and that means then end of Jesus work for that time. He eats with his apostles, prays for the cup to pass but submits to God's will, and he faces arrest. Disciples are ready to fight for Jesus and yet flee when not allowed to by Jesus himself. Judas fails to recognize Jesus as more than a teacher and teacher and Peter fails to believe in Jesus when he suggests that he knows himself better than Jesus does. It is a bleak moment but do not worry, there is hope and a light is at the end of this tunnel. We talk about fleeing the Abomination of Desolation, corruption in human governments, and how North Korea and Ohio are basically the same....or not. We also discuss how prophecies in the Bible are often fulfilled multiple times, usually shortly after the prophecy is made and then again later at least one more time. We also discuss trusting only in God, keeping an eye out for Jesus' return, and not relying on earthly things that will pass away. Some other topics included are not getting caught with your pants down (use the belt of truth!), that Jesus isn't a corpse but maybe a thief? and is there a contradiction in being generous in the parable of the ten women and their lamps and oil?
