You Are What You Love

You are what you love. We use the word "love" often without thinking about the gravity of the meaning of the word, love. What do you love? What are you attached to? What are the things you want and desire? Oftentimes, we love less important things more and we love more important things less. This is an important reflection to raise our self-awareness.

Journey from Vices to Virtues

Each of the Enneagram types has as its foundation a vice, or in the language of Enneagram wisdom, each type has a passion…and every vice has a healing virtue and every passion has a God-given gift. Keeping in mind that the work of the Enneagram is learning to free oneself from one’s number. If you aren’t able to, you won’t be able to utilize the gifts or the virtue of your number. Today’s reflection is all about naming your vice or passion, then owning it, and taking responsibility for it. As you do, you gain strength and freedom. Spring Cleaning

Spring is about rebirth and renewal, which makes it the perfect time for a personal deep cleaning and ordering. This can include working on changing negative or destructive habits, adopting healthy new habits, working on deepening your spirituality, practicing self-care for better mental health, and much more.

The Paschal Mystery

The Paschal Mystery is the secret to life…to wisdom…to growing…to becoming our authentic selves. God is always calling us to something richer, deeper, and fuller. Now there is suffering before, during, and sometimes after the paschal death. It’s hard to let go of things, lifestyles, habits, even unhealed wounds…somehow, those are comforting to us and for us. But there’s always good news…the good news is that we do not make this journey alone….God walks with us in the suffering, the dying, and definitely in the rising.
