Peace Be with You - The Holy Spirit and the human heart

Pentecost reminds us that every person wants to be understood and listened to. We all have locked doors. Fear, guilt, painful memories, addiction, the quiet feeling of "I am not good enough." Fr. Prabhu reminds us in this homily that the Holy Spirit doesn't knock and wait for perfect people. He simply enters. Using the tender image of a little granddaughter and the grandfather who felt happy when his granddaughter spoke gently to him, we too need to realize how important patience, compassion, and understanding are in daily life. "God speaks to people in a way they can understand. The Holy Spirit comes to us in a way we can receive Him." We are reminded to listen with our hearts, to speak kindly to others, and to trust that the Holy Spirit works through ordinary people and simple actions daily. The Holy Spirit can transform us like how the disciples were transformed. Come, Holy Spirit. - Sunday Homily by Fr. Antony Prabhu, C.Ss.R. (24 May 2026)

When attending Mass is not Routine but an Encounter with Jesus

Fr. Simon Tan shared a deeply personal testimony about discovering the true meaning of the Eucharist. Though he served as an altar boy since Primary 6, he admitted he “served Mass, but hardly participated.” Everything changed in Secondary 2 when, feeling lost and restless, he wandered into Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary after school and honestly asked Jesus: “Are You truly God?” What seemed like a two-hour sleep in church became a life-changing encounter with God’s peace. From that day, Scripture became alive, Mass became meaningful, and worship became personal. Fr. Simon reminds us that the Eucharist is not just an obligation but an encounter with the living God. Even in pain, confusion, or struggles, we can still come before God honestly: “Lord, I am hurting, but I still want to worship You.” When we open our hearts, healing, peace, and transformation can happen through the Eucharist. - Sunday Homily by Fr. Simon Tan. C.Ss.R. (17 May 2026)

Not Alone but loved by God - Can we recognize that and make a difference today?

After Easter Sunday, we follow the readings that detail the disciples' journey after the resurrection of Jesus. They realise that Jesus is God and because they love him, they will keep His commandments. We ask ourselves, ‘Have I gone through a similar journey of recognising who Jesus is?’ We all have our individual journeys, where we ultimately encounter Jesus who is fully God and fully human, thus, knowing that Jesus loves us and hence, we will keep his commandments and assume the true identify of a Christian. As St Peter says, we have to give a reason for the hope that we have, why we hang on to our hope, despite the suffering. As a Christian, it is not a personal faith, but one that challenges us to go make a difference in the world. This is our Easter challenge, that we experience Jesus, anchor ourselves in a deep relationship with Jesus and experience this relationship by being faithful to the Kingdom values. And as Jesus told us in the Ascension, we are not alone, He is always with us, and He will send us the Holy Spirit. - Sunday Homily by Fr. Terence Wee, C.Ss.R. (10 May 2026)

episode At life's crossroad, who do we choose to follow? artwork

At life's crossroad, who do we choose to follow?

At life’s crossroads, we must choose whom to follow - like choosing between guidance from the living versus the dead. The right choice is to follow the one who is alive. In the same way, Christians follow Jesus, who is living and leads us to the Father. He is not just a guide but as He says, He is “the way, the truth, and the life,” revealing his divinity and He's the only path to the Father. Through baptism, Christians share a common priesthood and are called to return to God, our ultimate destination. As a community, Fr. Charles Antony reminds us that we should seek the guidance of the Spirit, overcome differences, and walk together in faith by following Jesus. - Sunday Homily by Fr. Charles Antony, C.Ss.R. episode The Challenge - "Can we listen to God's voice today?" artwork

The Challenge - "Can we listen to God's voice today?"

Today we celebrate Good Shepherd Sunday, and today’s Gospel identifies Jesus as our Good Shepherd, we need to know His voice and follow Him. Fr Simon reminds us that God constantly speaks to us through Scripture, liturgy, hymns and the Eucharist. But more than that, God speaks to us through our encounters with other people and our daily experiences. However, our pride, ego, distractions, anger, and assumptions often stop us from truly listening. Like sheep who trust the shepherd, we are called to recognise Christ’s voice above the noise of life. Listening to God requires openness, humility, and stillness. Fr Simon challenges us to see that the Eucharist is more than a motion every week. It is God, coming down to us as the body and blood of Christ. Will we allow him to enter into our life? Can we hear his voice today? - Sunday Homily by Fr. Simon Tan, C.Ss.R. (26 April 2026)
