Living Under the Influence

Are you ready for active duty? If you believe in the Gospel, your answer should be, “Yes, Sir!” When you're living under the influence of the Gospel, it does more than lead you to salvation; it prepares you for active duty.

A Testimony of God's Influence

We live in an age of influencers. Social media influencers, gaming influencers, beauty influencers, political influencers… Regardless of the category, they all have one thing in common: to use their platform, position, or power to influence the behavior of others. And whether we realize it or not, we are all influencers. The question is, what are you doing with the influence God has given you? Are you using your influence to build up the faith of others in Christ? Paul’s 2nd letter to his spiritual son Timothy shows us what it looks like to be a faith influencer. It’s not just a role that’s relegated to Paul or leaders in the church — it’s available to every single person who belongs to Christ Jesus.

Level Up

The Bible teaches that we’ve been given everything we need to “level up” in our faith. But even that requires answering one basic question that sounds mathematical but is actually spiritual in nature… Can you add?

Live Carefully

We tend to think of wisdom as *one specific choice* amongst the many different options that may be available to us. But the reality is that our lives are often much more complex. In the Bible, Paul writes to Jesus-followers with a clear recommendation concerning how they choose to navigate the ever-changing culture. He says to simply, “Live carefully.” We must take this ancient wisdom and embrace it for our modern context to ensure that we use our lives to make the most of every opportunity.
