Beyond the stage, Johanna has showcased her versatility in film and television, appearing in Netflix's Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom and lending her voice to the animated feature, Secret Magic Control Agency . Johanna's vibrant personality shines both on and off the stage. She describes herself as a "big giggler" and shares her love for giraffes, astrology, and all things Emerald Fennell. He began his Broadway journey as a swing in Rent (1996), mastering multiple roles before stepping into the spotlight as the original Ren McCormack in Footloose (1998). His signature gritty yet soaring voice, combined with his intense stage presence, has made him a standout in both leading and character roles. Over the years, Kushnier has tackled some of Broadway’s most iconic roles, from Tommy DeVito in Jersey Boys to Radames in Aida, and even the wildly comedic Basilius in Head Over Heels. His ability to transform on stage has made him a go-to performer for complex and demanding roles. True to his roots, he returned to swinging in the 2012 revival of Jesus Christ Superstar, covering Jesus, Judas, and Pilate—a rare feat that speaks to his exceptional range as both a singer and actor. After returning to Broadway as a swing in Merrily We Roll Along, Kushnier continues to bring his unmistakable talent to the stage, stepping into the role of Orin Scrivello in the Off-Broadway revival of Little Shop of Horrors. Originally from Washington State, she made her way to New York City in 2011 and quickly established herself as a versatile talent. In Chicago, she has taken on multiple roles, including Mona, Go-To-Hell Kitty, and serving as a swing and understudy for Roxie Hart. Beyond Broadway, she has played leading roles such as Sally Bowles in Cabaret and Ulla in The Producers, performing across North America, Asia, and aboard international cruise lines. In addition to her stage career, Nicole is passionate about mentoring the next generation of performers. Through her NYC-based studio, Triple-Threat Training, she offers dance, voice, and acting training and conducts workshops nationwide. She also founded LEAP: Local Enterprising Artists Project, a nonprofit that supports artists in under-recognized or cross-disciplinary mediums. With her deep dedication to the arts, Nicole continues to inspire both on and off the stage. She has also appeared in On Your Feet! at The Muny and regional productions of A Chorus Line (Cape Playhouse) and Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella (Arkansas Repertory Theatre). A skilled dancer, Sarah’s artistry has been showcased with Dance Lab New York and as a professional dancer with Clear Talent Group. A native of Indianapolis, Indiana, Sarah began her pre-professional training with the Gregory Hancock Dance Theatre before joining Kenyettá Dance Company. Early in her career, she brought her talents to the Indianapolis production of Memphis the Musical, setting the stage for her transition to national tours and Broadway. Sarah is passionate about storytelling through movement and music. She is honored to be part of MJ the Musical, where she celebrates the enduring legacy of Michael Jackson and the Motown era.
