Today we have Drew Reisinger, Buncombe County Register of Deeds. He will discuss the diaper drive that will support families with babies in partnership of nonprofit Babies Need Bottoms. We will also learn about all the services the Register of Deeds offers.

Looking for a good book? Today we are discussing the One Book One Buncombe a shared reading experience among a wide spectrum of people. This year we have selected Happy Land by Dolen Perkins-Valdez. Set here in the Blue Ridge Mountains, the novel deals with themes such as family legacy, historic preservation, and community. We have Jen Waite, Buncombe County Libarian and Dr. No, Buncombe County Office of Access and Human Affairs Director are encouraging community to get involved. Read the book and come meet the author this May 16 at Ferguson Auditorium at AB Tech.
