We’re turning ONE! This episode is a celebration of the journey, the ups, the downs, and everything in between. Starting The Amen & Stuff Podcast was not easy, but it was never accidental. This podcast was founded on Jeremiah 1 , where the Lord reminds us that before He formed us in the womb, He knew us and that we should never look down on ourselves because of our youth. Choosing to worship the Lord, submit to Him, and walk with Him at this tender age is not a mistake… it's a flex!. We are exactly where we are supposed to be. In this episode, we reflect, give thanks, and celebrate what God has done over the past year. Thank you to everyone who has listened, supported, shared, prayed, and grown with us along the way. Ke Dezemba Boss!

Sup? Ke Dezemba boss! The 16th, the 26th, the 31st, the 1st, the vibes are high, the plans are full, and as young people, of course we want to be outside and enjoy ourselves. But in the middle of all the fun, where does our faith stand? In this episode of The Amen & Stuff Podcast, we talk honestly about backsliding, especially during the festive season. Backsliding in our faith is normal. It happens, but the real danger is getting comfortable there. Yes, we can have fun, but not at the expense of our relationship with God. Using Jeremiah 1, 2 and 3, we reflect on God’s heart toward His people, how easy it is to drift away, and His constant call for us to return to Him. Let’s challenge the idea that December is only about us, the groove, and the good times. The festive season is also about remembering how far the Lord has brought us. Distractions For What? For Who?

Sup? This episode is basically a mini version of the catch-up session we had a while ago. And if you remember, we made a commitment going into Season 2: to show up with more vulnerability, more honesty, and more real conversations. So that’s exactly what we’re doing in this episode. Opening up, checking in, and being as authentic as we can with each other. Today, we’re diving into something that affects every one of us: the things that have the potential to negatively impact our spiritual lives. And honestly, there are so many of them. Life is full of distractions, pressures, temptations, and subtle shifts that can slowly pull our hearts and our attention away from the Lord without us even realising it. And now that we’re in the festive season, with the busyness, the social events, the hype, and sometimes the chaos. It becomes even easier to drift spiritually if we’re not intentional. But here’s the good news! Even with everything going on, even as young people navigating real life, real choices, and real struggles, it is absolutely possible to live a life that honours God. A life that is purposeful, grounded, and spiritually healthy and still fun. Following God doesn’t mean our lives have to be dull or restrictive. She Shall Not Be Moved #EndGBV

We all know the whole world is purple right now, right? And we are too, neh? Good. In this episode, we’re diving into the tough but important topic of gender-based violence in South Africa. It’s real, it’s widespread, and it’s something we can’t just ignore. We talk honestly about what’s been happening, how it’s affecting people every day, and why we can’t afford to stay quiet.Anchored in the promise of Psalm 46:5 "God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved” . This episode is both a lament and a declaration. We discuss how God’s presence fuels our courage, how His justice strengthens our resolve, and how His love calls us to actively protect, uplift, and advocate for those whose voices have been ignored or suppressed. A Catch-Up Session Is In Order!

Sup? This episode was such a pleasure to make! Not because I was in the best space, in fact, I was in one of the lowest places I have been in this year. I'm still there. But it was such a joy to get back into recording episodes and worshipping the Lord the best way I know how sometimes. I'm grateful for this podcast. I'm grateful for the opportunity to pour out my thoughts, my feelings, my worries and my creativity, in a way that glorifies God. And sometimes, not all the time, these episodes actually speak to someone, which is literally the best feeling ever! In this episode, we will simply be catching up - I mean we haven't chatted in a while. We will unpack grief, disappointment and feelings of distance and disconnection from the Lord as a result of those feelings. Besides the 'normal' trials we experience when we aim to live a life that pleases the Lord, we also sometimes experience tragedies and crises that test our faith. But the Lord tells us that we should count is as joy when our faith is tested, because that is an opportunity for us to grow (James 1:1-3). Towards the end of the episode, we will talk about how we move forward. And how we can trust God despite the challenges that we go through in our lives, and leave all our worries and anxieties with Him (Matthew 6: 26-34). Enjoy the episode! Let's connect!
