High School Football program has dedicated Mental Health and Recruiting personnel. Players first

What does it take to build a football program that develops young men from middle school all the way to college? At Walton High School, head coach Daniel Burner has spent 10 years building exactly that — a program rooted in culture, community, and continuity. The foundation starts early. Walton's feeder program, the Junior Raiders, introduces student athletes to the same plays and system they'll run at the varsity level — making the transition from middle school to high school seamless. That kind of intentional development is rare, and it shows. Off the field, the program has built a support system that goes beyond wins and losses. Players have access to mental health resources and college recruiting support, freeing Coach Burner to focus on what he does best — coaching and developing young men into their best selves. The community shows up. Parents, alumni, and the greater Marietta / East Cobb area rally behind this team, creating an environment where athletes feel supported both on and off the field. Competing at the 6A level, the Raiders finished 7-6 overall, 3-3 in region — with players earning offers from D3 through D1 programs. This is more than a football team. It's a pipeline for life. 🎙️ Don't forget to like, subscribe, and share with a student athlete or family in your life About TAP Podcast A show about the ever-changing world of youth sports, through the experience of the community that supports our student athletes. From Middle School to Varsity: How Trust Built a 28-4 Championship Culture | Coach Reed Dungan

As head coach of the Mt. Vernon Varsity basketball team, Reed has done something special — guiding his squad from a 15-13 record in his first season to an incredible 28-4 finish and a Final Four appearance in year two. But this didn't happen overnight. Reed spent five years at Mt. Vernon building relationships from the ground up — coaching middle school and JV — so by the time he stepped into the head coaching role, his players already trusted him. That foundation, combined with a rock-solid coaching staff and a culture-first mindset, is exactly why his program is winning. A Georgia native from Powder Springs, Reed played college basketball at Gordon College before transferring to Dalton State, where he became the all-time leading scorer. He knows what it means to compete, adapt, and finish strong — and he's now passing that mentality on to the next generation. Off the court, he's a proud dad of two little ones (ages 3 and 18 months), and everything he does on the court is a reflection of the values he's building at home. Coach Dungan joins us to talk player development, culture-building, and what it really takes to go from good to great. This one is for every coach, parent, and student athlete who wants to understand what championship programs are actually built on. From IT Banking Job To Game Changing Youth Sports App With A Solution Of Time Literacy

In this episode, we sit down with Zoya Lehrer, founder of Orgo — the smart logistics calendar built for multi-sport, active families. Zoya immigrated to the US from Ukraine at age 9 and grew up in inner-city Brooklyn where parks and pavement were her playing field. That scrappy, resourceful background eventually led her to identify a massive problem hiding in plain sight: your calendar is lying to you. We unpack how Orgo goes beyond scheduling to show families how events actually happen — with prep time, drive time, carpool coordination, route optimization, and smart notifications built in. Plus, we dig into Orgo's signature concept, Time Literacy® — the executive life skill your kids aren't learning in school but need for everything that comes after. If you've ever felt like managing your family's sports schedule is a second full-time job, this one is for you. Orgo Inc. is home to two products. Orgo App (www.orgohq.com [http://www.orgohq.com]) transforms scheduling events into real-world logistics for sports families and student athletes. Orgo Sync (www.orgosync.com [http://www.orgosync.com]) is the scheduling API that makes scheduling data intelligent, interoperable, and secure — for operators, platforms, and builders. Pace Academy Head Football coach attends class of players to see how they learn.

From the trenches to the top — meet Pace Academy's new head football coach After 15 years in the trenches coaching Pace Academy's offensive line, Kevin Johnson is stepping into the head coach role — and he brings one of the most decorated resumes in Georgia high school football with him. In this episode, Coach Johnson sits down with us to talk about his journey from Brooklyn youth football to the sidelines at Pace, what it means to lead a program with championship DNA, and why his mission goes far beyond wins and losses. "More than winning games, my goal is to help our student-athletes grow as leaders and individuals who carry these lessons beyond the field. It starts by building a foundation within. This is the opportunity of a lifetime." ABOUT COACH JOHNSON Kevin Johnson's coaching career is built on a simple belief — the lessons learned on the football field shape you for life. Before arriving at Pace in 2010, he cut his teeth coaching youth football in Brooklyn, New York, where his teams reached four state title games and won three, earning him Big Apple Coach of the Year honors in 2006, 2008, and 2009. At Pace, Johnson transformed the Knights' offensive line into one of the program's most consistent units, earning Offensive Line Coach of the Year recognition in 2014, 2015, and 2023. He was a key piece of the 2015 state championship staff — a team that produced four NFL players. As a student athlete himself, Johnson was a four-sport standout who earned all-state honors twice before going on to play college football at the University of South Carolina. He knows exactly what it takes to develop from a young athlete into a serious competitor — and now he's bringing that perspective to the head coach role.
