Ep 13: Iris Brosch on Shere Hite, Female Pleasure, Feminist Photography and the Body

In this episode of The Body Talks, Chloé Dall’Olio sits down in Paris with artist, photographer and performance artist Iris Brosch for a conversation about the female body, visibility, feminism, art and the legacy of her late friend Shere Hite. Together they speak about the male gaze, the power of listening, body shame, pleasure, ecofeminism, age, sensuality and what it means to create images of women outside of a patriarchal lens. Shere Hite’s groundbreaking work, The Hite Report, opened up a radical conversation around women’s sexuality, pleasure and lived experience. In this conversation, Iris reflects on Hite’s legacy not as something frozen in the past, but as something still deeply alive and urgent today. The episode opens and closes with a grounding breath practice, inviting you to listen not only to the conversation, but to your own body too. Content note: this episode includes open discussion around sex, sexuality, orgasm, pornography, nudity, body image and feminist politics. The Body Talks is a podcast hosted by Chloé Dall’Olio, exploring the body through intimate conversations with artists, activists, thinkers and visionaries. Ep 12: Why Women Need to Talk About Vulvas? with Laura Dowling the Fabulous Pharmacist

In this episode of The Body Talks, I’m joined by pharmacist, educator, founder and author Laura Dowling for a candid, funny and eye-opening conversation about women’s intimate health. We talk about vulvas, pelvic health, prolapse, vaginal dryness, perimenopause, shame, pleasure, pubic hair, p0rn, ADHD, social media, and why so many women are still not taught how their own bodies work. Laura shares what she’s learned from over 20 years in pharmacy, from building a powerful women’s health platform, and from listening to the questions women are often too embarrassed to ask out loud. This episode is for anyone who wants to understand their body better, challenge shame, and feel less alone. episode Ep11: Joy Lives in the Body - Motherhood Cancer Survival and Embodied Truth with Ami Yeasmin artwork

Ep11: Joy Lives in the Body - Motherhood Cancer Survival and Embodied Truth with Ami Yeasmin

In this episode of The Body Talks I’m joined by Ami Yeasmin - a joy-led creator, mother and cancer survivor whose body wisdom speaks before the mind does. We met at the sold-out show by Sophie Tea at the London Palladium where we both strutted painted and proud of our bodies. That shared moment of visibility, courage and celebration sits at the heart of this conversation. We begin with an embodied practice and as always something unexpected emerges. Ami’s body brings forward her hands: a part she did not prepare to speak about yet one that reveals a whole life story of illness resilience creativity and care. It’s a powerful reminder that the body holds truth long before we intellectualise it. We talk about joy not as positivity but as something that can live alongside grief. About motherhood and raising children with freedom rather than ownership. About surviving cancer and how Ami brought joy and connection to fellow patients even in hospital. About dancing as medicine and the courage to stay open to life. This episode is for anyone curious about listening to their body more deeply and for anyone who needs permission to hold joy and pain at the same time. episode Ep 9: Louis Rubi - Dressing Beyond Gender, Shape, and Shame artwork

Ep 9: Louis Rubi - Dressing Beyond Gender, Shape, and Shame

Recorded in Paris from inside Louis Rubi’s working room, this episode is a fashion wake up call. Louis is the founder of LR3, a designer quietly rewriting the rules of fit - not through “inclusive sizing” as a badge but by refusing the whole system. His clothes are built around volumes not sizes and the result is something most people have never felt in a fitting room: freedom. We talk about why the industry makes so many of us feel wrong in the mirror and what happens when garments are designed to move with real bodies instead of being scaled from one narrow template. Louis shares the moment a client told him they could not buy clothes anywhere in Paris and the sentence Louis replied with that flips the whole shopping experience on its head. This one is about clothes, yes, but it’s really about identity, energy, and permission - dressing beyond gender, shape, and shame. In this episode * Why LR3 has no sizes and what “volumes” actually means * What freedom looks like in a mirror - when the “kid comes out” and people dance, cry, and play * “All of it will go on. Then it’s your decision if you feel good in it.” * The emotional truth of style - “If I feel good then and only then I’m going to look good.” * A rapid-fire moment where Louis basically breaks down the fashion industry in five minutes * A short breath practice together to drop into the body before we begin Connect with us on Instagram Louis Rubi [https://www.instagram.com/louisrubi/] LR3 [https://www.instagram.com/lr3_louisrubi/] Chloé (your host) [https://www.instagram.com/chloedallolio/] Browse LR3 collection on their website HERE [https://lr3-studio.com]
