After going 14-20 in Chris Holtmann's first season in Lincoln Park, the team retained three of its core players in Layden Blocker, CJ Gunn and NJ Benson, while also adding some high-profile (and high-upside) transfers as it aims to move out of the Big East cellar. Fresh off a pair of exhibition "victories" over the likes of longtime foes Loyola Chicago and Notre Dame, DePaul opens regular season play tonight against the Chicago State Cougars.
