Making sense of what drivers need and want from our documentary!

How many times have you used a ride-hailing app? You see the car moving on the map, you have the driver's photo, the car make and model, his registration, his license number. How many times have you thought about what he sees?  On the other end of that screen, there is a driver who sees a name and sometimes that's a nickname, and nothing else. Amidst the pandemic, people have been financially hit and last month TFL reported an increase in attacks on drivers working on ride-hailing apps. It all culminated on the 17 of February when one driver was stabbed and killed. This is how the project of a documentary came about, telling the story that no one knows.
