Hey Blue Devils, it's Jenny with your Campus Update for December 8 through December 15. Let's get you set for the week—fast. First up—Duke's football team clinched the ACC Championship with a thrilling 27-20 overtime victory against No. 16 Virginia. This marks our first outright ACC title since 1962. Next, our men's basketball team remains undefeated at 10-0 after a hard-fought 66-60 win over No. 7 Michigan State. Cameron Boozer led the charge with 18 points and 15 rebounds. And don't forget—final exams are underway this week. Make sure to check your exam schedule and locations to stay on top of your game. Over the weekend, our football team made history by securing the ACC Championship in a nail-biting overtime win against Virginia. Quarterback Darian Mensah connected with Jeremiah Hasley for the game-winning touchdown, and linebacker Luke Mergott sealed the deal with a clutch interception. On the hardwood, the men's basketball team edged out Michigan State, thanks to standout performances from Cameron Boozer and Caleb Foster. Boozer's double-double and Foster's timely three-pointer were key in maintaining our perfect record. Price and Professor Ken Gall will be speaking. It's a great chance to see innovation in action. Next—on Thursday, November 13, from 5:15 to 6 p.m., the Duke Chamber Music Program is performing in the Biddle Music Building lobby. It's part of the Fountain Music Series and a perfect way to unwind with some live tunes. And—on Saturday, November 15, at 7 p.m., the Duke Chinese Music Ensemble is holding its fall concert at the Nelson Music Room in the East Duke Building. Experience traditional Chinese instruments and melodies right here on campus. This past Saturday, our football team faced a tough loss against the UConn Huskies, with a final score of 37-34. Quarterback Darian Mensah threw for 222 yards and three touchdowns, while running back Nate Sheppard added 100 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Despite the strong performances, UConn clinched the win with a late touchdown. Looking ahead, our men's basketball team is set to play Western Carolina on Saturday, November 15, at Cameron Indoor Stadium. It's the season opener, so let's pack the stands and show our support. On Friday, November 14, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., there's a discussion titled "Rediscovering Lost Archives: The Autobiography of Omar ibn Said" at the Ahmadieh Family Conference Hall.
