Episode 4: Know the Believers Living Hope (1 Peter 1 verses 3 to 5)

This is the fourth podcast looking at the first chapter of Peter's first epistle. Here, we examine verses 3-5, which address the believer's living hope. This living hope is eternal life, life after death, and Peter sets about teaching us an abundance of truth relating to this great gift, which comes to us through the mercy of God himself. He then looks at various aspects of this gift. I trust that you feel blessed by what you hear.

Episode 3: Chosen By God (1 Peter 1:1 & 2)

In his first letter, Peter writes to the church in five Roman provinces, which were suffering terrible persecution and had been driven out, forced to live in caves. Here, Peter seeks to strengthen the Christians by reminding them of their standing before God and what God has done for them through His Son, Jesus Christ. Peter reminds the people that they are special in the eyes of God because He has chosen them; therefore, God will sustain them and give them the strength to overcome. They would experience His grace and peace like no other.

This is the first episode after returning to podcasting after 10 years. I have now retired from pastoral ministry, but I felt that I could continue to share thoughts on the Word of God on my podcast.  My thoughts in this episode are based on the cross and the sacrifice that Christ made for each one of us.
