RODNEY DANGERFIELD: 100 YEARS OF NO RESPECT

The 22nd of November marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of comedian Rodney Dangerfield. He was a hero for all those downtrodden folks that got "No Respect" People might remember him from his appearances with Johnny Carson. Others will remember him from movies such as Caddyshack and Back to School. Comedian Harry Basil, worked with Rodney Dangerfield for twenty years as his support act and collaborator on movies such as Meet Wally Sparks, My Five Ways, Back By Midnight, Ladybugs, and The 4th Tenor. Harry has some great stories about his friendship with Rodney and how he became one of the best comedians in the world.  I hope you enjoy it.  Jason Ford.

Interview with Julie Dawn Cole who played Veruca Salt

Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory turns 50 this year. Like the everlasting gobstopper it has remained timeless.  One of the most memorable characters from the film was Veruca Salt, played by Julie Dawn Cole In the episode Julie looks back at that magical time as we get a tour of the chocolate factory and what life was like on set.  Who knows - she might even reveal a few secrets. Just don't tell old Slugworth.

KAROLYN "ZUZU BAILEY" GRIMES FROM IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE

In 2006 the movie It's A Wonderful Life, was named by the American Film Institute as its number 1 inspirational film of all time. Even though it was made in 1946, its message is just as important in what has been an extremely challenging 2020 for many people. I tracked down Karolyn Grimes who played Zuzu Bailey in the film, for what I hope is an entertaining and inspirational interview. She talks about what it was like to work with Jimmy Stewart and Frank Capra; how she got the role; how people rediscovered the movie, including her and the impact it has made on her life and millions of fans.

This year marks the 40th anniversary of the cult classic Caddyshack. It was billed as the 'snobs vs slobs' and starred some of the hottest talent going around at the time, including: Chevy Chase, Bill Murray and Rodney Dangerfield and first time director, Harold Ramis. Jason Ford spoke with Chris Nashawaty, author of Caddyshack: The Making of a Cinderella Story, about how this cult classic was made. That story is just as wild, if not wilder, than the movie itself.
