Episode 5 - Technical Difficulties with Existence

In this episode, I talk a bit about my absence from my website, my recent troubles with motivation and what I've been doing with myself in the meantime. The title is based off the couple of audio errors that cropped up. I don't know what happened with my mic, but I'll look into it.  I also decided to "go raw" for this episode and avoid editing myself because I think it gets in the way of my personality and productivity. Episode 4: That's Just Prime!

Episode 3: For the Love of Music!

Ah jeez, another one? Recorded on 30/04/2020 – I explain why music is so important to me, or at least I try to. Employing the age-old technique of reading, I relay my ideas surrounding my musical tastes and aspirations. I gush about my love for EDM, along with good ol’ classical compositions and offer a theory about personal preferences in audible art. No warnings this time, I think… except for my opinions? I might be weird for loving both the unrefined and the high-brow, but I love all music. Vocal, instrumental, a capella, guttural noises – you name it! Shorter episodes are fun to make, and I finally found that structure I was looking for, even though it meant just reading out of my notebook. Hopefully it gave a clearer message and wasn’t so heavy or whiny. Let me know what sorts of music you’re into, and I’m always open to recommendations. Episode 2: Electric Boogaloo

Oops, I did it again! I gave you my voice, now you’re going insane! Oh baby, baby… Recorded on 12/04/2020 – I talk absolute rubbish for 30 minutes (after rigorous editing) about how that big global issue dominating the news is ruining my life. Concerned about the outcome of this situation, I talk about my worries surrounding physical and mental health. By consulting the scholars of the internet, i.e. Wikipedia, I find out the meaning of OK. I also go through some of my current thoughts in weird experimental radio drama fashion. Brace yourselves for the auditory wonder that is me losing all my marbles. Can you find them for me? Thanks bro ; ) Alternate Title: Ade Loses It Warning: Strong Language. Listener discretion is advised. I realised that my voice fluctuates in pitch and volume quite a bit, so if this sounds like an audible mosaic, I apologise. But it may sound that way because I had to cut out about a million pauses in my speech. I say “um” a lot, and it disgusts me. I tried to make my voice sound as natural as possible, but also save you from the stampede of filler words. I also realised I have a slight stammer, which may be induced by stress because I never noticed it before. Look, I have very few things to keep track of now, so my mind focuses on the little things. Let me know what you think. Any chance of improved audio is quite slim, since all the good quality microphones are selling out. Everybody is probably joining the YouTube/podcast wave. Just know that I am not one of those wannabes; I’ve wanted to be an entertainer my entire life. I just got so shy and anxious over the years, that those dreams were set aside. By running glassofaj.com, my YouTube, and my Instagram, I’m trying to get more comfortable with having a voice, being in front of a camera and using my personality to entertain the people around me. Pilot: Going Down the Sh*tter

My name is Ade and this is the start of something ...yeah. This a prototype/pilot episode for the GOAJ Podcast This is what happens when you buy a small novelty microphone from eBay – you become a wannabe podcaster! Yes, his name is “Mini Mic” <3. Recorded on 30/03/2020 – I talk about what my forced time off could be used for. I lay out my worries concerning my job, my financial stability and my access to products on Amazon Prime. Will I change for the worse while on furlough? WARNING – Strong language. Listener discretion is advised. It was later confirmed that my college work can continue, much to my chagrin – but it means I may finish this apprenticeship on time. Cheers all-round! I might do more of these little recordings – to add variety to the website. It’s a lot easier than making videos, and editing them (if required) is a lot simpler. I just need to build some structure, but I have to start somewhere. Mini Mic is quite the little trooper. He is my not-so-secret weapon to fight off boredom and lulls in creativity.
