episode Episode 1: Too Big to Farm cover

Description

Four powerful corporations own the majority of market shares in the seed and agrochemical industry- and, in turn, have the power to control the way land is farmed in the United States. This has resulted in overproduction, degraded ecosystems, created public health crises, all time high farm debt and narrowed opportunities for new farmers. I’m joined by Claire Kelloway Reporter for the Open Markets Institute, Guy Ashmore an Organic farmer in Clarksville, OH,  Chris Novak President & CEO from CropLife America, Gary Hooser activist and Former Hawaii State Senator to uncover these issues, and discuss how and why we should support alternatives.
