About The HIV Podcast

The HIV Podcast is a joint production from the AIDS Committee of Ottawa (ACO) and CHUO 89.1 FM. In this series, members of the ACO share their experiences and expertise to shed light on life with HIV/AIDS. These episodes cover an array of topics from personal diagnosis stories to the social stigmas that exist today, the medical advancements that have been made and the AIDS crisis in the 80s.

This debut episode introduces you to the AIDS Committee of Ottawa, a pillar of the community since 1985. ACO members Khaled Salam, Inoua Haoua, and Cory Wong explain the grassroots organizing from the queer community in the early days as well as the role the ACO plays in the capital region today.
