On this episode, I catch up with a good friend from college: Bea Asavajaru. She currently lives in Tokyo, works in the beauty industry and shares her unique experience during this ongoing coronavirus outbreak. It's fascinating to hear how different parts of the world are approaching the global pandemic and how people have responded to it, particularly in Japan where social norms and cultural nuances also plays a role. Additionally, we also discuss how she’s adjusted to life as an ex-pat and how she’s embraced both her American and Thai heritages in the process.

On the pilot episode of the @home podcast, I spend time catching up with my good friend Paolo Alberca. He has an interesting story to tell: he's based in Astoria, NY and gives his take on the coronavirus outbreak as a New Yorker. He talks about the moment when "things got real" as well as his experience living with someone who is on the front lines.  Then, in an attempt to provide a distraction to listeners for even just a moment, we talk about his journey as a runner, going through knee surgery and rebounding to make long distance running part of his everyday life.
