Gauging my Growth and Hearing From God

Like everyone, I am always finding myself in need of direction for my life. Honestly, I’ve always struggled with decision making, having confidence in the things that God instructs me to do, decision paralysis, and self-doubt. God has been freeing me from hesitance, disobedience, fear, and lack of trust. In this episode we dissect scripture about God’s voice in the midst of our rebellion and disobedience. We are sometimes like the people of Judah because we neglect God and don’t always listen well. God highlighted a common misconception and shifted my mind to the fact that once we are spiritually mature, sometimes we are to take the first step THEN the teacher/holy spirit will let us know where to head. He’ll always correct us if we misstep and sometimes He tells us to be still but that’s why we have to SPEND TIME WITH HIM to know what His instructions are. Takeaways: God is always speaking, but are we always listening? God is such a gentleman that he gives us free will and a CHOICE to partner with Him. “We should want to do what God says is the right thing because we begin to BELIEVE that it’s the right thing to do”. From Entrepreneur to Stay at Home Mom-preneur Description:

God is guiding my journey and I am doing my best to submit to His timeline. Business is up and down. Escaping and Coping

Yall miss me? This week’s episode is about this improper balancing act I’m doing with being a working stay-at-home mom, wife, social worker, and all the things. I am finally getting some details kinked out regarding my recording, editing, and publishing schedule for the podcast. And also coming up with realistic goals to get y’all in the door to be interviewed on the podcast! I explore my reservations about processing emotions, and the importance of making ROOM for them so that I don’t slip into overwhelmed, emotional exhaustion, decision fatigue, anxiety, etc. which leads inevitably ESCAPISM. Takeaways: Starve your flesh. Make a REGULAR practice of fasting and prayer. Self control is a fruit of the spirit. When we are creating environments that house suppression of our emotions, lack of self care, disconnection from God, and other negative habits, we lead ourselves closer to burnout and escapism. We must be vigilent and of sober mind in order to be equipped for the fight of our faith. Scriptures mentioned: Romans 12:2. Give God Something to Grace

In this episode, we talk about trusting God’s timing with HIS will for our lives. Also, what role a sense of community plays in our purpose being carried out. I talk through some of my inner thoughts about what I want to do with my life! I don’t have a lot of things figured out and I’m finding my place in my purpose. I am in a space of keeping my ear peeled for God’s direction in my life and am ready to walk in boldness in the spaces he wants me to occupy and accepting the redirection from the places he doesn’t. Takeaways: We are not praying away God’s loving correction and the development of our character. We have to have a testimony and we must embrace the shaping of it out of trust and reliance on God. God has us all exactly where he wants us to be, and if he’s given you clear instruction you MUST be obedient in carry it out. Give God something to work with. Give him something to grace! A New Version of Me

!!*WARNING*!! This episode’s audio quality was compromised due to the public recording setting. This episode is the SEVENTH episode of Season 2!! What better way to end out the new year with something symbolic of the number of completion? Listen in as I talk all about me growing up at my “grown” age. I have had a lot of feelings about the changes I’ve gone through within the last 6-8 months. Currently, I’m navigating through some duality with grief, frustration, then gratitude, and gratefulness. There's alot of things I simply don't have figured out and it's discouraging at times. Nonetheless, emotions aside, I know it'll all work out! Takeaways: I am hopeful about the future so if you’re experiencing some of these same emotions associated with growing up, BE ENCOURAGED!! Life gets better because we get better. We will not always be “new” to everything. We will be empowered with knowledge and wisdom from God in order to pay it forward. Share your wisdom with another woman and pull her up. "There's Work to Do" a poem by DANESA HARBISON There’s more to do after the tears dry. There’s work to do than solitude. Some things can only be served at a dinner for two. Pull up a seat at a table fit for royalty. There in His presence, I am greeted by three. The Holy Trinity made a reservation and waited on me. Here I am at the table where there’s all the things I need. We talk for a while, I get my bread for the day, some next steps, correction, love, direction, all the above. They’re reminding me there’s work that’s done and now there’s work to do. Telling me it gets better. Things change and I will too.
