In this episode, I interview a younger Soldier just starting her time as a Non-Commissioned Officer, Sergeant Brittany White. SGT White enlisted when she was 17 and still in high school under the Split Option Program. She is currently a full-time college student at Washburn University. SGT White and I talk about using service in the Army National Guard to pay for postsecondary education, being a female in the military, and how her service has made her stronger physical, mentally, and emotionally.

Nick is an Infantryman, but over the past year has been on Active Duty Operational Support orders with the Army National Guard state Human Resources Department. Nick is also an avid distance runner and a member of the Kansas National Guard Marathon Team.
