THE LOT: The Reunion — Chapter Two
“Proverbs, chapter eleven, verse twenty-nine. He that troubleth his own house shall inherit the wind.“
In 1979, the American dream was playing out on morning TV game shows as Monty Hall would stand before a theater of screaming contestants dressed like fools, offering blind trades. Cash in hand for whatever was hiding behind Door Number One, Two, or Three. A game of casual choices... where nobody ever reads the contract or the consequences of playing—not unlike our cast of players in this little drama.
Clara has just left the graduation party kitchen in blood-drenched ruins. Now, her sneakers are leaving a fresh crimson trail behind her. She isn’t just a contestant anymore, looking for a bargain. No, her agency has become something far darker than even she realizes.
And as for Charlie and Karen? Well, they, my friends, are not just naked… they are naked to the world. Their fate, as it is with so many, was laid bare long before this reckoning. On a bed, wrapped in sheets, they are completely oblivious that they have become the prize—Clara’s prize behind door number three. They think they got away with a cheap high school betrayal. They have no idea... that Clara’s hand is already closing around the brass handle, and Monty Hall has just left the room. Charlie and Karen have stepped into an unholy, hidden dimension of a game where the rules are written in blood.
