About The Margaret De-Petro Podcast

Since 1987 I’ve been working with spirit, energy, and the unseen threads that shape our lives. Over the decades I’ve read thousands of tarot spreads, guided countless students through Reiki and energy work, and supported people through psychotherapy, life coaching, and hypnotherapy. This podcast is where it all comes together. One week we’ll dive into the mysteries of tarot, auras, and chakras. Another, we’ll explore spell work, Celtic heritage healing, or therapeutic touch. You’ll hear meditations to ground and uplift you, teachings on Reiki and energy shifts, and conversations with team spirit and the cosmos. If you’re curious about the unseen, open to the wisdom of energy, and ready to explore how ancient practices and modern insights can meet, you’ll feel at home here.Join me as we journey into the mysteries, the magic, and the healing that’s been with us all along.

39 - Why the Full Moon Affects Your Sleep and Emotions (And What’s Really Happening)

Have you ever noticed that around the full moon, something just feels… different? You might find it harder to sleep. Your thoughts feel louder. Your emotions seem closer to the surface, even when nothing obvious has changed. This isn’t something I’ve just observed in myself. In a recent circle, almost everyone shared the same experience. Restlessness, vivid dreams, heightened emotions and a sense that something inside them was more active than usual. So the question becomes… is this actually real, or are we imagining it? In this episode, I explore the effects of the full moon on sleep, mood and emotional sensitivity in a grounded and practical way. We look at: * why your sleep can feel lighter or more disrupted during a full moon * why emotions can feel stronger or harder to ignore * how your nervous system responds when your awareness becomes more heightened * the psychological and physical reasons behind restlessness and vivid dreams * how to support yourself without overthinking or trying to “fix” anything This isn’t about telling you what to believe. It’s about helping you understand what you’re experiencing, so it feels less unsettling and more manageable. If you’ve ever searched: * “full moon effects on sleep” * “why do I feel emotional during a full moon” * “why can’t I sleep during a full moon” …this episode will help you make sense of it in a way that feels calm, grounded and real. And most importantly, it will help you stay connected to yourself through it. episode 38 - Remembering the Feminine Intelligence artwork

38 - Remembering the Feminine Intelligence

It’s just been Mother’s Day here in the UK, and it got me thinking about women… about the way we move through the world, and how much we actually hold. I see so many women who are incredibly capable, intuitive, and multi-layered in the way they think and feel… and yet they don’t always recognise it in themselves. In this episode, I explore that. I go back in time to when feminine intelligence wasn’t something separate or questioned. Women were leaders, healers, decision makers, deeply connected to cycles, to people, and to what was coming next. That way of thinking hasn’t disappeared… it’s just become quieter, less visible, and often unacknowledged. Because now, that same intelligence shows up in everyday life. In running homes, raising children, managing emotions, solving problems, holding everything together… often all at once. And we call that normal. But when you really look at it, it’s anything but. I also talk about how women naturally integrate logic and intuition, left brain and right brain, and how that allows us to navigate life in a way that is far more complex than we often give ourselves credit for. And I think something is shifting. More women are starting to realise that what they’ve been told is “too much” might actually be their strength. There’s a meditation in this episode as well… a chance to pause and reconnect with that deeper sense of knowing and capability that has always been there. So maybe this isn’t about something new emerging. Maybe it’s about finally recognising what never left. 36 - Why Winter Can Leave Us Feeling Spaced Out (And What Actually Helps)

Have you noticed it too? That slightly floaty feeling. Difficulty concentrating. A sense of wanting to withdraw, slow down, and hibernate, even when life keeps demanding more. This episode was inspired by a shared conversation in my weekly circle and a growing recognition that many of us are feeling disconnected, unfocused, or oddly detached as winter deepens. In this episode, we explore what may really be happening beneath the surface. Not from a place of self-criticism, but curiosity. A quick note before you go I’ve had a lot of messages from listeners saying how valuable they find these episodes and asking how they can go deeper or access more regular content. In response, I’m launching a VIP private podcast [https://margaretdepetro.vipmembervault.com/products/courses/view/1191697], where I’ll be sharing weekly episodes for those who want more continuity and depth. The public podcast will continue with one free episode each month, and the VIP podcast is simply an option for regular listeners who’d like weekly reflections and practices. There’s no pressure to join, it’s just there if it feels right for you. episode 35 - When Pain Is Quiet, and Still Asking to Be Heard artwork

35 - When Pain Is Quiet, and Still Asking to Be Heard

January can carry a quiet weight. In this episode, recorded from the calm of my clinic, I reflect on the many forms pain can take. From grief and loneliness, to fear, not-enoughness, and the exhaustion of trying while feeling stuck. Rather than pushing pain away, this episode gently invites you to meet it with curiosity and compassion. Through reflective questions and a guided meditation, we explore what pain may be asking of us, and how hope can exist quietly in the background, even when life feels heavy. This is an episode for anyone feeling tired, uncertain, or emotionally full, and needing a moment of softness and reassurance. Please note: the second half of this episode includes a guided meditation. Do not listen while driving or operating machinery.
