episode 11. you're more than your sickness w/ Paulina Joaristi cover

Description

We got social media influencer & communications specialist, Paulina Joaristi, to join us on the show to share her experience dealing with a chronic autoimmune disease & the hoops she had to jump through in order to just get a diagnosis and proper treatment. Just like Nikki, she had doctors diagnosing her wrong, blaming it on depression, among other crazy things. But, at the end of the day, your illness doesn't define you and you are totally not alone in the struggle.

14. overworking yourself & burning out. it happens to the best of us.

In today's world, overwork/hustle culture has become so normalized and it is often glorified to the point where we believe that we should be part of this problem. We're taking a look at overwork culture and burnout and what this can do to our mental and physical health. It's simply a raw conversation about why we shouldn't be buying into the cult of overworking and rather start living our lives for ourselves and not for our jobs. Take some time to take care of yourself and reevaluate the parts of your life that need to be modified in order to actually work to live and not live to work.  I hope you're all taking care of yourselves.
