The Value Of Doing Nothing

Life is CRAZY these days. Our kids have so many activity options available to them. From school we might go to dance, or baseball or karate or swimming lessons or speech or... well the possibilities are seemingly endless. We believe that often times parents feel pressured to make sure their kids are involved in as many of these activities as possible. But when our days are so full of these awesome things, what are the consequences of leading such busy lives? When your kids fight...

Everyone who has kids has seen them argue and bicker. It's just a part of growing up! However, at times it gets a little... excessive.  Today we're going to discuss our opinions on the subject. Every family has their own way of dealing with these things. We believe that the more we discuss it the better we'll all be at responding to our kids with love and kindness. "You, Not Them"

In today's episode we discuss a concept from Leadership Education called "You, Not Them". It's all about letting your kids see you being inspired about a subject so that they can be inspired too. So many parents think that just because they don't have a degree in education, they don't have the ability to teach their kids. The thing is, we don't have to teach our kids everything they need to learn. We just have to inspire them to want to learn! Once kids are inspired you can't stop them from learning.
