Interview with Danica Botes: For the Love of the garden

In the past year and a half inspirational quotes have lost their magical ability to power up my oars as I row my little wooden dinghy in the colossal wake of the SOS Corona, the SOS Climate Change.But then as I prepared to publish this interview I read Audrey Hepburns words: “To plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow”. Danica Botes, my guest today, is amongst many admirable things, a gardener. She plants gardens because that is the most natural thing for her to do. I plant gardens because despair would swallow me whole if I didn’t . Do we both believe in tomorrow? What else can we do but believe? Danica is an inspiration because she practices what she so very beautifully preaches.

Interview with Dr Gauri Lowe

What a joy to chat to this weeks guest. Gauri Lowe is a medical doctor, a herbalist, a practitioner of Bhakti Yoga, a birthkeeper, Womb Medicine doctor and Mother. She blends together the depth of ritual, the understanding of the Sacred Feminine, the heart of elemental herbalism, with the reason of science, and the natural elements and guidance from Mother Nature. AND she does it in a way that reminds me of the “Chocolat” film ...magical with a little whimsy but also with that deep and strong undercurrent of challenging social norms.
