Based on the bestselling novel from Shirley Jackson's 'The Haunting of Hill House'. We go in depth for almost 2 hours with this one and then as usual go off in all directions and discuss a host of other topics. Starring Julie Harris, Claire Bloom, Russ Tamblyn, Richard Johnson, Lois Maxwell, Valentine Dyall and Paul Maxwell. This creepy B/W horror has atmosphere, style, great production and a unique score for it's time. Warning: Gary even discusses the Easter Horror B-movie 'The Being' from 1981. :(

The Postman 1997

In this current climate, we felt it was time for a rewatch of the much panned Costner box office mega bomb, The Postman. With the subject matter of a Militia Cult, The Holnists,  taking over what's left of America and bringing down the remnants of government and society while they're at it. Named after Nathan Holn, a violent, racist, sexist, populist leader, who could be compared to a certain political figure today. Costner stars and directs this 80 million dollar epic, based on the book of the same name by David Brin.
