About The Relatable Luxury Podcast

Welcome to the Relatable Luxury Podcast. In 2014, Dan and I began a boutique children's party rental company called Petite Seats. After 8.5 years in business, it's safe to say we have become well known within our niche and have contributed to the over-the-top luxury children centered events in the NY-CT-NJ tristate area. From celebrity events to the Hamptons, we have assisted with making five-figure, plus, kids' parties a thing! We started our entrepreneurial journey by presenting a relatable brand, everyone needs cute tables and chairs for their kids' parties, right? The luxury aspect was cultivated after a few years in the business once we honed in on our ideal client. With premium prices and trendy products, we made children's rentals relatable luxuries. Join us as we share our prospective on entrepreneurship, family, and current events.

I’m Not In The Warehouse Anymore

There comes a moment when the work that once defined you no longer fits the season you’re in. In this episode of Relatable Luxury, I reflect on stepping away from the physical labor of my business—closing the warehouse, releasing the routines, and letting go of an identity built on constant motion. I talk about what it means to stop performing productivity, to honor completion instead of clinging to familiarity, and to recognize when your value has shifted from execution to observation. This conversation is about graduating from hustle, embracing stillness as a form of intelligence, and allowing space for clarity to emerge. If you’re navigating a quiet transition—personally or professionally—this episode is an invitation to listen inward and trust what’s unfolding next.

Seeing the Gaps: Why Most Special Event Businesses Are Bleeding Time & Money

When you step out of constant motion, you start to see what was invisible all along. In this episode of Relatable Luxury, I talk about what becomes clear once you’re no longer inside the day-to-day execution of a business. I share a real moment from running Petite Seats—how fragmented systems led to overbooked inventory, quiet financial losses, and unnecessary stress—and why these small disconnects are often the real source of burnout in creative service businesses. This episode isn’t about working harder or hiring more help. It’s about understanding where time, money, and energy are leaking—and why clarity, cohesion, and well-designed systems are becoming the new definition of luxury. If your business feels busy but heavy, full but scattered, this conversation will help you see it differently.

When Letting Go Becomes the Work: Closing Chapters, Choosing Healing

This episode is a pause. A moment of honesty in between seasons. I’m sharing what it means to close the chapter on Petite Seats—to empty the warehouse that once held not just inventory, but years of vision, effort, growth, and identity. I talk about the emotional weight of letting go of something I built from the ground up, and what remains when the physical structure is gone. I also take you with me to Medellín, where I’ve chosen to pursue holistic healing in my cancer journey. I share why I made this decision, the discernment behind choosing a non-invasive path, and what it looks like to trust your body, your intuition, and your timing—especially when the choice doesn’t fit neatly into conventional expectations. This episode isn’t about convincing. It’s about clarity. It’s about sovereignty. It’s about learning when to release, when to travel inward and outward, and when to let healing become the priority over productivity. If you’re in a season where things are ending, changing, or being redefined—this conversation is for you. This is Relatable Luxury in its truest form: choosing alignment, peace, and presence over performance.
