Description

Welcome back to another episode!! ~ Super excited to share this conversation I had on my recent trip to Nepal! ~ Today we are speaking with Dr Roshan, a practising Ayurvedic Doctor, who shares with us the origins and philosophies that underpin this ancient system of medicine. ~ Ayurveda is a holistic (whole-body) system of medicine originating in India more than 5,000 years ago. Ayurveda teaches us that we all have a constitution, a unique combination of doshas created by the energies and qualities of Space, Air, Fire, Water and Earth. ~ These five elements combine to form the three doshas Vata, Pitta and Kapha. ~ Whilst Modern Science and Ayurveda use different language, they overlap in their aim to explain how genetics, body composition, nutrition, environment and emotional health influence overall health. ~ See the information here as another tool in helping you understand how your body works and ways that you can improve your physical health, mood and energy. ~ Georgie xx

10. Mimi Elashiry - Are You Building a Life That Lights You Up?

*audio lost after 21 mins :((*  It is truly torturous that we lost half the audio from this episode… I wasn’t sure if I would upload because the sound wasn’t the best quality, but Mimi is such an insightful icon that it would be RUDE not to share ;) A little birdie told me you’re craving creativity, purpose and emotional freedom… Everyone has a purpose, a unique gift they were brought here to share with the world. It’s time to get out of your own way and start taking ACTION.  Who better to discuss this with than the beautiful Mimi Elashiry!! Mimi is an Egyptian-Australian dancer, creative director, and founder of Move & Manifest. Her life and her energy reflect the power of trusting your heart and pursuing your unique path.  I’m so grateful I got to hear Mimi’s insights and I know everyone listening will learn so much from her.  Thankyou for listening and supporting the show,  Remember you’re cool as a cat and I’m genuinely so sorry to headphone listeners !!  BIG LOVE xx Georgie

episode 9. Olivia Judd Smith - Period Recovery, Discipline Disguised as Fear, the Binge-Restrict Cycle artwork

9. Olivia Judd Smith - Period Recovery, Discipline Disguised as Fear, the Binge-Restrict Cycle

TW: Today’s episode touches on thinness, dieting and disordered eating- if this isn’t for you right now, please feel free to skip and listen to the next episode xx WELCOME BACK TEAM!!  Today’s episode explores the moment “healthy” turns unhealthy. Clean eating, strict routines, and “discipline” often start with good intentions, but somewhere along the way, many women lose themselves in perfectionism, control, and fear. It’s rarely the sugar or the gelato that harms you, it’s the stressed, hypervigilant relationship you develop with food, which drives overconsumption in a dysregulated way. A nervous system stuck in survival mode can’t digest, rest, or thrive. We dive into: * How good intentions turn into restrictions and identity * Why losing your period isn’t a sign of health * Breaking binge–restrict cycles through nervous system regulation * Balancing macros and intuition * Building a nourishing weekly routine without burnout This episode is a reminder that nutrition is NUANCED. Especially with so much information on social media, we need to be discerning about who we choose to listen to! (including me, who am I to say this?)
