TSOM30: The Worst KISS with Three Sides' Mark Cicchini
A special request from the listeners' line, tonight's episode, we join the original creatures of the night...KISS. We weren't entirely sure where we'd start and what we'd find when we got there. So we recruited the expertise of a guy who truly knows his KISS, Three Sides of the Coin's Mark Cicchini. Three Sides of the Coin is a three-guys-at-the-bar podcast that dives deep into the world of KISS and other parallel rock universes. Their knowledge is encyclopedic, and, we figured, if anyone was to know of the worst KISS recordings, it was going to be these guys. As it turns out, Mark actually knows a shitload more than all of us and we spend the entire episode getting son'd. Jeff is inept as a host and, to compensate, he tries to turn his running partner Blake into a research gimp. Cray's jokes fail miserably. Sam is a stupid idiot who can't get a good take in. Blake tries to engage our guest in a pissing contest and ends up just pissing himself. This is the audio.
TSOM29: Singer & Spiritual Fertility Specialist Peter Scott
For tonight's show, we circle back to an artist that won our hearts and ears over during the TSOMposium with his song, "Be Healed," a name-it-claim-it record for your body, where he spent the course of the song healing various reproductive organs so that couples could conceive. We were, frankly, a bit surprised by the recording and inquired about additional material from this artist. The artist was Peter Scott and, lucky for you, he did have additional material. Tonight, we dive deeper into Peter Scott's full album about conception of an immaculate nature appropriately entitled, Conception. We are joined by Roderick McDaniel and Brandon Buie, from the Team Lift podcast, available at Soundcloud and iTunes.
TSOM28: Sidespin's Worst Songs Since 1990 w/ rhythm method
For tonight's episode, we are joined by the fantastically-talented Erik Randall, who writes under the name Rhythm Method for Sidespin, little brother to Deadspin. Erik and his partner Not Something Structural (@nss_ds), have made it a mission to find the very worst song since 1990 and, to decide this, they've opened up the voting to the readers of Sidespin with a 68-song bracket. So, tonight, you won't want to miss a thing as we journey to the end of the road with our informer, Erik Randall, uncovering the songs that Sidespin listeners truly, madly, deeply hated. How bizarre these songs are. How bizarre. How bizarre.
TSOM27: Songs Our Dads Think Suck
Tonight, we turn over the show to our dads with the upcoming Fathers' Day weekend. Sam's dad gets something off his chest, Clint's dad doesn't know what a podcast is, Dirty Deacon's dad viciously hates soft rock, and we pull our socks up to our knees, yell at neighborhood kids from our porch, tell bad jokes to our kids and then go to bed by 9:00. We don't think we're going to find the worst stuff ever recorded tonight because, really, our dad's have far too good of musical taste, but it's worth asking your dad sometime...what's the worst song you ever heard?
