Description

WOTUS, or "waters of the United States," is an issue of great national importance as it establishes the geographic scope of federal jurisdiction under the Clean Water Act. We are reviewing the definition to ensure it follows the law, reduces red tape, cuts overall permitting costs, and lowers the cost of doing business in communities nationwide, and inviting public input through a series of listening sessions. EPA and the Department of Army conducted a hybrid webinar listening session on May 1, 2025 for industry and agricultural stakeholders on Zoom and in person at EPA facilities in Washington at the Federal Triangle Campus. The following is the audio version of the stakeholders comments.
