About The Truth in Love Podcast

The Truth In Love podcast will present God's timeless truth through the lens of His amazing love. We will do this not only through stories of people who have experienced His peace, love, strength, and wisdom through tough circumstances, but also by endeavoring to give the Bible’s answer to life’s great questions, like: Who is God, what's my purpose, who am I, how can I know God, what is heaven and hell, what is truth, and why is the Bible's truth better than my own version of truth? These are legitimate questions folks ask, and we as Christians should have the answers! God has a magnificent plan for every person. We are thrilled to be part of discovering and sharing what His Word reveals to bring hope, peace and great love into the hearts of all humanity. Join us every Tuesday morning at 5:00 a.m. CST for The Truth in Love podcast, with your host Kimberly Faith

Episode 89: The Four Lies Satan Told Eve: Do We Still Believe Them Today?

Y'all, this one is good. John and Kim examine one of the oldest con jobs in history—the four lies Satan told Eve in the Garden of Eden. And here's the kicker: He's still running the same playbook today. Not a single update. Same lies, same MO, and the same enemy trying to keep us from God’s greatest blessings. Satan didn't show up with horns and a pitchfork. He slithered in with questions about God's character, planting just enough doubt to get Eve to make a decision that plunged the entire human race into a broken world. And here is a point that is VERY illuminating: Satan has to lie. He can't tell us the truth and expect us to follow him. What he has to offer would never tempt us away from what God gives us anymore than we would EVER prefer to eat rotten fruit over fresh fruit. John and Kim lay out all four lies straight from Genesis 3, break down what God actually said, and then get real about whether we're still believing and following these same lies today—in our universities, our culture, our churches, and honestly, in our own heads. Truth Bomb: Many times we are! But the good news? We don't have to.

Episode 88: The Most Incredible Investment Opportunity in the World

What if we told you there's an investment opportunity out there with a guaranteed 10,000% return — and everybody qualifies? No loading fees, no commissions, no minimum balance required. Sounds too good to be true, right? Well, this opportunity comes straight from the mouth of Jesus himself. In this episode, Kimberly and John discuss what might be the most overlooked financial principle in the Bible: The heavenly bank account God opens for every single born-again believer. Inspired by a sermon from pastor Lon Solomon, Kimberly lays out the remarkably commercial language the Apostle Paul uses in Philippians 4:17 — words like karpos (profit), plionazomta (abounding interest), and logon (ledger account) — to show us that God's investment system is more tangible and more generous than anything Wall Street has ever dreamed up. This isn't the prosperity gospel. Not even close. This is a biblical investment principle rooted in the condition of our hearts — and the return doesn't just show up as a check in the mail. It shows up as peace, purpose, joy, wisdom, strength, answered prayers, and yes, sometimes finances too. God knows exactly what we can handle and when we can handle it. They also talk honestly about what it looks like to bury your gifts — and how that retirement lifestyle of TV, golf, and vacations with no eternal purpose leaves people feeling exactly as empty as you'd expect. Spiritual bankruptcy is terrible! Whether you're chasing toddlers or you're retired, whether you're giving out of abundance or out of poverty like the widow with her two mites — your account is open, your deposits count, no one else can make deposits in your account and… nobody can rob you bank!

episode Episode 87: Is God Fair? artwork

Episode 87: Is God Fair?

Have you ever looked at a situation that seemed just plain unfair and found yourself questioning God? You're not alone. In this episode, Kimberly and John look at one of the most common questions people wrestle with: Is God  fair? And the answer might just flip some things you thought you knew about God—upside down. Starting with God's Word, they discuss what the Bible actually says about God's nature — that he is infinitely righteous, just, and loving — and how that matters when we're tempted to judge God by our own limited, human perspective. But here's the twist: When you really look at what Jesus has done for us, there is only ONE who hasn't been treated fairly in this whole story. Jesus paid a debt he didn't owe, for people who didn't deserve it, and then on top of that, he offers us eternal life, rewards, and the fruit of his Spirit. That's not fair to HIM— but it is lavish, extravagant grace to the entire human race. And…He loves us so much, He thought we were worth the weight of unfairness He took in order to reconcile us to Himself. Hallelujah, what a Savior!

episode Episode 86: If Trust in God is Less Than 100%, It Isn’t Trust At All artwork

Episode 86: If Trust in God is Less Than 100%, It Isn’t Trust At All

Inspired by a powerful message from Dr. Pat Briney, Kimberly and John dig into one of the most convicting questions a believer can face: If your trust in God isn't total, is it really trust at all? Spoiler alert— the Bible says “no.” And honestly, our stress levels, our backup plans, and our furrowed eyebrows in the middle of a hard morning are telling on us whether we realize it or not. From Peter stepping out of the boat to Paul waiting blind in Damascus for three days to Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego standing firm in front of a blazing furnace—the pattern is the same. Partial trust is not trust at all. We must be “all in” if we want to reap the marvelous benefits of life in God. The Bible makes it clear that the difference between “partial trust” (whatever that is) and fully trusting is a life that looks like a shriveled shrub dying in the desert verses a fruitful tree by the river. My friend, we either trust God enough to step into the furnace—or we don’t.  This episode gives honest, practical, and deeply encouraging tools for those of us who have prayed Proverbs 3:5-6 in the morning and then white-knuckled our way through a crisis by 10 AM.
