Description

Season 2 · Episode 3. Someone capable on your team keeps getting coached on communication, and nothing changes. If it were a person problem, the standard treatments would eventually work. They keep not working, because the failure is being located in the wrong place. This episode opens Arc 2, Where Signal Gets Lost (the Cognitive Translation Protocol). Every decision your organization makes runs down a line, from what one person knows to a judgment someone acts on. The first crossing on that line, the interface between how one person thinks and how the room listens, is where signal dies. A communication failure happens at the interface between two cognitive systems, not inside either one. The episode follows the cost: an undesigned interface filters on style, so organizations confuse noise for signal, and the loss is booked nowhere. It names the six points where signal gets lost, and lands the deficit-to-interface move: stop redesigning the person, design the channel. Closes with The Operating Brief and the Monday test. What You're Actually Buying When You Buy AI

Season 2 · Episode 2. Almost every organization is buying AI right now, and almost every one believes it is buying the same thing: efficiency, a cheaper way to produce the same execution. That reception is the mistake. The real event is not that execution got cheaper. Execution is leaving, and what stays, what now decides whether an organization is any good, is the high-effort thinking the machine cannot do for you. Treat a cognitive event like a technology event and you quietly optimize away the one capacity that was about to matter most. This is a field note, the bridge into the next arc. An organization does not run on willpower; it runs on a design. Leadership is the deliberate design of how thinking happens, so that high-effort cognition is the work people are there to do. And leaders already accept the principle at the board level: the duty to make critical signal reach the people who decide. There is one signal no one was ever assigned to carry, a judgment on its way to a decision. Designing the route it travels is what the Cognitive Translation Protocol is for. Judgment Was the Boss's Job. AI Made It Everyone's. — What Leading Becomes

Season 2 · Episode 1. The How phase opens. For most of the history of running organizations, the person at the top of the table was supposed to be the person who knew the most. You set the direction, you held the plan, you made the call, and the organization moved on your confidence, because that confidence was an honest signal that you knew more than anyone around you. In a modern knowledge organization that has quietly flipped. The people below you hold more of the decision-relevant information than you do, and projecting certainty feels exactly the same from the inside whether or not the knowledge is still behind it. AI is the forcing function: once output is cheap to produce, fluency stops being evidence of judgment. This is the How-phase opener, the bridge that answers the fork The Choice left open. The industrial model reserved judgment for the top and paid everyone else for execution. As execution gets cheap, judgment has to become the working skill at every level, not hoarded in the corner office. Leadership stops being the apex and becomes three moves: gather the signal your organization already holds, place the judgment (who holds it, who decides, who owns the outcome), and route the work so judgment keeps up with the pace. Those three moves are the next three frameworks in order. You've Been Vibe Leading. The Age of AI Is Where It Ends. — The Choice

Vibe coding made a century-old leadership failure suddenly visible: leading on fluency and the gut call, with the real questions never raised. This is the arc closer, on the decision every organization is already making by default, and how to make it on purpose. What Cognitive Architecture Actually Means

This opens on a stretch of autistic burnout, when the thinking went quiet even though nothing was broken. It was load the whole time. When a machine degrades we ask what changed in its conditions; when a person degrades we write a verdict. This episode defines cognitive architecture and shows how to design it.
