The Holiday season can trigger a lot of emotions for people. These emotions can be due to the loss of a loved one, a reminder of past experiences, or current stressors contributing to strained relationships. During this time remember to apply grace to your honest emotions. And follow these steps: 1. Find a safe space to "get away" (bedroom, park, friend's house, etc.) 2. Process your feelings (hold space for them, understand what you are experiencing and why) 3. Utilize coping strategies to release (positive movement, meditation, journaling, painting, etc) Understand you are important, and your emotions are valid during this time of year.
